DC Capped the ends and then the beams were craned into placed and welded…… We’re so excited to see it take shape. DC WELDING
After the poles were craned in DC adjusted the heights to make all plum and then dry packed the base. Was so awesome to see this project move up off the ground and can get a better feel for how big it’s going to be.
County Inspection went well yesterday so with their sign off cement was ordered for 7am today. Tandy Inspection Service on site for the pour due to hi-grade material requirement of 4000psi. Really looking forward to the poles going up to get a better sense of how big this is going to feel.
Cages were dropped- ready for cement!!
The steel delivery really made us feel like….holy shit, this is going to be a big canopy! This week the cages get set then comes the cement - DC Welding is kicking ass!
After a month of working with an Architect & Engineer our plans for the back canopy were submitted to County and approved. OMG this is going to be a big project covering 1125 sq ft and designed to look exactly like the front canopy over the pumps, just super sized. The footings are 10ft deep and the cages for the cement have been fabricated. All the steel will be delivered tomorrow…more pics to come.
Time to have some fun….JT’s Pride was a great excuse to have a party!
Hand screened our first batch of t-shirts for the lil gift shop at the station.
Two of Steve’s custom tables for the Station…pretty awesome!
Steve & Chris designed & built the bar as well as paneled and painted the walls in the back room…we are ready for a party!
Dressed to Shoot- Finally our first real photo shoot and it went really well. Our ‘first dollar’ frame will have a check stub from the production company…not bad.
We finally installed our ‘dummy’ pumps to give it even more of an old time garage feel. Starting to all come together and is looking amazing, really proud of us!
Now that we had the space well underway we needed to expand our parking situation…put this gravel lot in that fits 22 cars which brings or space count up to 38/ 40 w handicap. The back lot already proved to be useful for production parking on our first photo shoot.
We are running all our utilities underground…so the pole in the middle of the property comes down and a new one gets put up on the roadside and trenched for the lines. No more overhead lines!! YEAH!!
